DESCRIPTION:SPLASH week is a week where the YMCA's throughout Central Florida will open their doors to expose children to the water through lessons and water safety courses. There were over 800 children who drown in 2014 in the state of Florida and the Central Florida YMCA has mad it our mission to get as many children as we can in our doors for SPLASH week to educate them about water safety.\n\n\n\nSPLASH week is open to non-members and member ages 4-12 years old. Children can register for 2 classe during the week. They will be grouped with children in the same age group.\n\n\n\nAlthough every child is different\, children will not learn how to swim during this brief time\, but they will learn water safety\, beach safety\, and other skills. There will be an opportunity for children to enroll in our monthly group lessons or private lessons during this week.
